Hostemplo: passion for every detail
The founder and director of Hostemplo, Carlos Ruiz, was born in 1960 in a village in La Rioja. He spent his adolescence surrounded by cement and bricks with his parents, learning with great interest the day-to-day family business dedicated to the construction of residential housing.
At the age of 18 he arrived in Barcelona to study architecture and enjoy his other two great hobbies: music and decoration. At the age of 30 he started two personal projects: first a music bar and soon after a restaurant, getting deeply involved in the design and decoration of both.
In 2010 the experience led him to design and build personally his first tourist accommodation: the Hostemplo Sagrada Familia, a small hotel with 10 rooms just a 5-minute walk from the Sagrada Familia. He has his wife Mila Martínez, with whom he finds the ideal tandem to make the dream with which he came to Barcelona come true.
Each year Hostemplo expands its offer in tourist accommodation, all with the same family style and care that is characterized.
Currently, Hostemplo offers 3 types of accommodation: Hotel ***, Hotel ** and Apart-Suites, located in its 6 buildings, all very close to the Sagrada Familia Temple.
With the incorporation of Eulogi Arias as head of reception and Miquel Ruiz, son of Carlos and Mila as assistant and firm successor of Hostemplo, the brand is strengthened to continue providing the service that its clients deserve, in a reinforced way.
“This valuation makes us stronger to follow the bottom of the barrel and most important: that the customer finds their expectations fulfilled”.
