TOP FESTIVALS:
Last year we got a deeper insight into the most popular festivals in the city: the long-existing and quintessential indie Primavera Sound, the electric Sónar, the young and amusing Cruïlla and the recently born Barcelona Beach Festival.
We do believe that classics are always a safe bet, you only need to have a look at the roaster of performers! These festivals still are the very top of the top ones. Why? Arcade Fire, Aphex Twin and Bon Iver (among many others), will play at Primavera Sound Sound 2017, Cerrone, Thundercat and DAW will be at Sónar 2017, Jamiroquai, Pet Shop Boys, Two Door Cinema Club and The Prodigy will play at Cruïlla 2017 and last (but not least), Armin van Buuren, Hardwell and Lost Frequencies will DJ at the second edition of Barcelona Beach Festival.
Watch out! For some of these festivals, full festival tickets may be already sold out… so if you really feel like going, book your ticket asap! On the other hand, many of these events also sell day tickets, hurry up!
When, where?
- Primavera Sound 2017: Parc del Fòrum and some other spots in Barcelona city (check the free concert cycle). From 31st May to 4th de June.
- Sónar 2017: Fira de Montjuïc, Museu del Disseny de Barcelona and Fira Gran Via L’Hospitalet (evening). Froml 16th to 18th June.
- Cruïlla 2017: Parc del Fòrum. From 7th to 9th July.
- Barcelona Beach Festival: Fórum beach and Parque de la Pau (La Pau Park). 15th July.
VIDA FESTIVAL 2017 (29th June – 2nd July):

This festival is one of a kind. They say so, and so it is. First of all, it takes place outside Barcelona (quite close, though).The four-day event is held in Vilanova i la Geltrú. We love the concept of the festival and that is why we would like to share it with you. As they explain in their web, the organization of the festival make a thorough selection of the artists, searching for a common characteristic: authenticity in their proposition; no matter if they already have a great career or not, their potential and projection is the most valuable.
Vida is sea, nature, light and also art. Its idyllic location provides them with amazing spots: three superb nature areas. It also counts of a camping zone connected to the rest of the spaces with a bus shuttle service, together with bikes, VIDA BIKES. What does it look like?
Apart from the singularities that make a unique event out of this festival, it also has a promising roaster of artists this year: Phoenix, Flaming Lips, Anímic… among many others on this great program.
FESTIVAL JARDINS DE PEDRALBES 2017, Pedralbes Gardens- (5th June – 15th July)

It is one of the top festivals par excellence. We love this long-existing event! It is much more than just a cycle of concerts in an awesome location, Pedralbes gardens.In previous editions, the festival has counted on artists like M83, Jose Gonzalez, The Lumineers, The Cranberries, Bob Dylan, Lana del Rey… taking part of it. What shall it bring this year? Pass by and you will have the chance to see artists as renowned as Rufus Wainwright, The Beach Boys, Belle & Sebastian or our local and beloved Manel among other guest artists. Check it out!
