You will probably agree that a good breakfast or brunch (depending on what time you get up, we’re on holidays!) is one of the greatest pleasures in life. That is why, from Hostemplo, we suggest some places to have breakfast with the most fascinating views of the city.
Having a coffee in a building that is part of the city’s Heritage gives us a great historic sight: 1902 Café Modernista at the old Saint Paul Hospital building, the Bar del Convent, at Saint Augustine Convent (Born), or el Jardí, located at the gardens of the Old Hospital of the Saint Cross (Raval); three “secret places” to enjoy a great breakfast in Barcelona.
For foodies and gourmets, we recommend a breakfast with a view at Martínez Terrace, one of the most exclusive terraces of Barcelona, or Aulazero Terrace, located at Can Senmenat gardens, in the Sarrià district.

PLAY TOURIST: VISIT BARCELONA’S CATHEDRAL

Barcelona’s cathedral, located at the very heart of the city, is always a must-visit. No matter if you are religious or not, it is always interesting to listen to “The Seven Words Sermon” that is given in front of the temple on Good Friday, 14th April. Afterwards, the liturgy of Christ’s suffering and death follows, and at half past six in the evening, the Stations of the Cross take place, consisting of going through twelve stations recalling the steps taken by Jesus Christ until his death. It is the perfect excuse to visit the inside of the cathedral accompanied by liturgy and tradition.

A floral festival arrives in the city. Gardens of Barcelona will fill the Pueblo Español (“Spanish Village”) with colors and scents from 13th to 17th April. The initiative, on its second edition, had a warm welcome last year. During five days, there will be 17 flower decorations spread along the streets, passages and squares of the Village and a long list of activities for all publics.

On 10th 11th and 12th April, from 20:00 to 22:00, the Sagrada Familia will show a special lighting over the Suffering façade. It is free and open to all publics. Andalusian Holy Week in L’Hospitalet:
There is no need to go to Andalusia to see the most traditional processions. L’Hospitalet de Llobregat celebrates one of the most Andalusian-like Easters, so if you are willing to experience this tradition, yes, you can! The most representative element of these processions is the saeta, a type of singing intoned by flamenco singers in a style considered to be the expression of the Andalusians’ suffering.

Although we cannot 100% guarantee that there will be good weather, there will most probably be, so we encourage you to go for a trip along the Catalan coast on commuter train. It is not high season yet, so take advantage, as it will not be too crowded. It is the perfect time to take pictures of sunny, empty beaches. Our suggestions?
