For the locals, it is more than just a pleasure. Particularly for those who love running, visiting interesting exhibitions and dancing or singing with the rhythm of the best international artists. Internationally known thanks to the Olympics in 1992, Montj\u00fcic never ceases to amaze, that\u2019s why we\u2019ve dedicated this interesting article to it at Hostemplo.<br \/>\n<strong>MONTJ\u00dcIC VIEWPOINTS<\/strong><br \/>\nMontj\u00fcic Mountain can be visited due to various reasons. One of them is the superb view over the city, the sea and the port of Barcelona. At Montj\u00fcic we find some of the most notable viewpoints of the city.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostemplo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_0569.jpg\" alt=\"mirador del migdia\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1066\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Montj\u00fcic Castle<\/li>\n<li><em>Migdia<\/em> (noon) Viewpoint (on the picture).<\/li>\n<li>Miramar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>TOURIST ATTRACTIONS<\/strong><br \/>\nEither if it is the first time you are visiting the city or if you are a local, there are such iconic places that you\u00b4ll find it hard not to (re-) visit them. These are, with no doubts:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2659\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostemplo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/barcelona-573647_1920.jpg\" alt=\"atracciones montjuic\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.barcelona.cat\/es\/que-hacer-en-bcn\/fuente-magica\/horarios-de-la-fuente-magica\"><strong>Magic Fountain of Montj\u00fcic:<\/strong><\/a> located between Plaza de Espa\u00f1a and the amazing building of the National Art museum of Catalonia, the Magic Fountain of Montj\u00fcic is the setting for a water and light show that, after more than 80 years running, still amazes its visitors.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ajuntament.barcelona.cat\/castelldemontjuic\/es\/la-visita\/informacion-practica\"><strong>&nbsp;Montj\u00fcic Castle:<\/strong><\/a> located on the top of the mountain we find an old military fort with a long history linked to the city. Currently, it works as viewpoint from which we can have a great sight of the city. It can be accessed both walking or by cable railway.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.poble-espanyol.com\/\"><strong>Pueblo Espa\u00f1ol:<\/strong><\/a> Created for the International Exhibition of 1929, &nbsp;it represents with great detail the most beautiful spots of some of the villages around Spain\u2019s &nbsp;geography.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Olympic Ring of Montj\u00fcic<\/strong>: Built for the <strong>Olympic games in 1992<\/strong>, the <strong>Olympic Stadium Llu\u00eds Companys<\/strong>, the<strong> Palau Sant Jordi<\/strong>, the <strong>Bernat Picornell swimming pools <\/strong>and the peculiar <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Torre_de_telecomunicaciones_de_Montjuic\"><strong>&nbsp;Telecommunications Calatrava Tower<\/strong> <\/a>are part of the noteworthy Olympic Ring of the city.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2660\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostemplo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/barcelona-913763_1920.jpg\" alt=\"torre calatrava\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>National Art Museum of Cataloina: <\/strong>located within an amazing building, the museum holds all types of art and embraces a broad historical period. Really worth visiting.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\"><strong>Joan Mir\u00f3 Foundation:<\/strong><\/a> this reference space for Mir\u00f3\u2019s work aims to promote the knowledge and spreading of contemporary art.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/museuciencies.cat\/es\/area-cientifica\/departamentos-cientificos\/jardin-botanico\/\"><strong>Botanical Garden<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong>&nbsp;with over 2.000 plant species, the garden, located in an old public garbage dump, looks currently stunning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mies Van der Roe:<\/strong>&nbsp;the German Pavillion of Barcelona was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich as Germany\u2019s pavilion for the International Exhibition in 1929 in Barcelona. It\u2019s still stands and can be visited, a must-visit!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EVENTS AT MONTJU\u00cfC<\/strong><br \/>\nWe would like to highlight some events we consider might be of your interest.
